Performance Officer

Salary: £35,745 - £36,648 (pro rata)

Hours: This role is 37 hours, and is available on a full-time, part-time, or job share basis. We offer other flexible work options, such as compressed hours.

Fixed-term: 6 month contract, an excellent development opportunity. 

Location: The team is based mainly at Penrith (Fire Headquarters), but we do encourage flexible working which also means working from another station or homeworking.

Interviews: Interviews will be held in person, at Fire Headquarters in Penrith, and will be on Wednesday 6th November 2024. 

THE TEAM

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service’s Performance team, providing expert advice and support to service leadership, as a part of our Assurance and Performance Directorate. 

This is a brilliant time to consider joining CFRS, as we continue to develop our corporate functions and establish our service under the governance of the Police, Fire, and Crime Commissioner. 

THE ROLE

  • The individual we are looking for will be an excellent communicator, proactive, methodical, and have an excellent understanding of Performance reporting/monitoring and data assurance.
  • This role will support with the implementation of critical new systems for CFRS as part of our significant programme to disaggregate from legacy systems and arrangements, so experience in sourcing, collating, and interpreting large volumes of data is essential.
  • We are looking for someone who has considerable knowledge of performance, and the ability to influence, discuss, and advise a range of audiences on key information.
  • This role will play a key role with the data migration, data assurance and development of reporting as part of the project team.
