Longtown fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

Firefighters attend a number of incidents the main risks are road traffic collisions due to the connecting A7, M74 and M6.  The station also provides cover to a remote rural area so are called to incidents involving agricultural fires and livestock rescues. Firefighters are also trained as water first responders to deal with flooding incidents in the area.

Lazonby fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

The risks are mainly residential, though local industries include a large bakery, agriculture and forestry. Firefighters attend a wide range of incidents including property fires, grass and heath land fires and road traffic collisions.

Kirkby Stephen fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

The station covers one of the largest areas in Cumbria; it includes sections of the Settle to Carlisle Railway Line, the M6 motorway and the main West Coast Railway line. The area covered is remote and very rural in character; calls within the station area are varied and include fell, farm and private dwelling fires, floods and road traffic collisions.

Brampton fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

The risks are mainly residential, although there are a number of pubs and guest houses which cater to the tourist trade, the station also covers a large rural community extending to approximately 12,500 hectares. Due to the busy roads which surround Brampton, including the A69, the station attends a number of road traffic collisions.

Alston fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

The risks are mainly residential; however there are a number of hotels and guest houses which cater to the tourism trade. Due to the rural nature of the area, firefighters are called to deal with fires involving grass and heath land, barns and agricultural buildings. The station also attends a number of road traffic collisions each year.

Walney fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

In addition to providing fire cover for the island, Walney also attend incidents in Barrow, particularly those affecting the submarine construction facility of BAE Systems.

Staveley fire station is staffed by On-call Firefighters and houses one fire engine.

A relatively quiet area, the main risks are the Hotel, Guest House, Bed and Breakfast, Self Catering and Camping Barn accommodation. Firefighters do attend road traffic collisions due to it being positioned just off the busy A591bypass.
